Casa Giulietta, Falerone (IT)
A touch of la dolce vita
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Le Marche in eastern Italy, this atmospheric retreat offers the best of both worlds: golden Adriatic beaches to the east and the dramatic peaks of the Monti Sibillini to the west. Designed by Belgian color expert Hilde Francq and her daughter Valérie, an interior architect, the project follows a clear vision: using color as an emotional tool.
Inspired by its Italian setting, the color palette draws on the soft greens of olive trees and the vibrant yellows of lemons. These shades flow naturally from one space to the next, forming the backbone of the design. Hilde Francq
Color as a design language
Casa Giulietta is a tribute to slow living – where each room tells its own story through a tailored color scheme, designed to support mood and function while staying in harmony with the home and its surroundings. Lighting plays a fundamental role in shaping the home’s expressive yet peaceful ambiance. Throughout the spaces, Modular luminaires enhance the emotional experience of each room.
At Modular, we believe customization isn’t an extra, it’s essential. It empowers architects, designers and creatives to fine-tune lighting to match their vision. In this project, that meant aligning color and light with the emotional intent of every space. Sylvie Descheemaeker Project Care Manager
