"What we loved about this project was the strong alignment between the architect, partner, end client, and us. It was even more rewarding to see how the end result perfectly matched the concept we envisioned." Delphine Hoedt, Lighting Designer
From concept to happy place
Who says an optics store has to be boring? We took on the challenge of creating a lighting plan that's as quirky and upscale as the store itself. Find out how lighting designer Delphine and account manager Glenn, along with partners Q-Light and architectural firm LINT, created an immersive lighting experience.
Five electricity points, one high-end boutique
The store space presented us with a technical challenge: only five electricity points on a single electrical circuit. This required us to think creatively and develop a solution that provided adequate lighting while ensuring the space stood out as an upscale boutique.

Added value with Pista Track 48V
The Pista Track 48V introduces a striking linear design to the space. By placing two tracks side by side, we created a more dynamic and engaging lighting design. To address the ceiling height differences, we used a surface-mounted track on one side and a suspended track on the other, resulting in an elegant and cohesive look. In the end, we needed only two electricity points to beautifully illuminate everything—from the display window to the work tables in the back.

A wink with Marbulito
Marbulito produces a well-defined circle of light, making it perfect for highlighting objects. This contrasts beautifully with the general lighting and adds a touch of drama and sophistication.
A powerful accent with Medard
Medard was selected as an adjustable accent light to highlight products and side walls. Its reflector technology delivers a wide beam of light and a powerful lumen output with an attractive lighting effect.
Subtle general light with Linear Spots
The Linear Spots on the tracks completed the lighting plan, providing the necessary general lighting to ensure the shop is well-lit, all while maintaining their subtle presence.
"Lighting design is about aligning with the concept and ensuring that people feel something when they walk in." Glenn Es, Key Account Manager
Architectural details matter
Our lighting experts always focus on the details, striving to match our lighting with architectural shapes and lines. Glenn explains: "In this project, the steel construction above the counter draws attention. Our Pista Track 48V complements this play of lines in a creative way. Light is provided exactly where it’s needed, yet the final result doesn’t feel overwhelming at all."
"The lighting proposed by Modular turned out to be a valuable asset, as it was both technically feasible and an elegant solution to the space constraints." Greg Delien, Q-Light, Partner
